If you've ever heard of Blaze Pizza, I would say Black Sheep is pretty similar to that. Came here for lunch and it was a bit hard to find the entrance if I'm being honest. I feel like a lot of stores in Minneapolis especially in the north loop kind of have a double-door apartment entrance space situation so I was a bit confused on how to get into the store. The space was huge on the inside and even had a jukebox pay machine which was super cool. - Meatball, Ricotta & Garlic - I know this is the most popular option but I think this is actually a pretty mediocre flavored pizza. I wish the meatballs had more flavor to them and think there should've been some sort of vinegar based ingredient to balance it all out. I will say that the crust is absolutely phenomenal and the bread area was genuinely my favorite part. - Hot Honey, Smoked Chicken, Red Onion & Pickled Peppers - I liked this pizza quite a bit as the flavors balanced out each other very well. Also it was extremely loaded and all the ingredients were even spread which I appreciated. I ordered the 12 inch pizza but ended up having half of it as leftovers so I would say if you're not too hungry, 2 people could share one!
Tried take out for a couple pizzas and they were delicious! We tried the oyster mushroom, smoked mozzarella, rosemary and garlic and the Persian beef with tomato, feta, and harissa. Excited to go back to the other items on the menu. Service was quick and easy to pick up.
Very good wood fired pizza! Great service! Great selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Nice selection of pizza options but build your own if needed. We also tried the meatball appetizer and it definitely tasted like grandma's! Highly recommend!
Every time my son is at Children's for treatment he demands we order from Black Sheep. Even when be has no appetite for other foods he will scarf down a Black Sheep pie.
Very big slices and fair warning if you get more than 3 toppings it will cover the entire pizza. Our sever was lovely and the food came out very fast. The actual quality of the pizza is superb. Would definitely dine again if I'm in the neighborhood.
